I’m not ashamed to admit it: My life revolves around food. I plan my next meal at the meal I’m currently eating. I get anxious if I don’t know when I’ll be able to eat. I’m the kind of person who has to eat every few hours. I pity the fools who have to be around me when I’m hungry. It’s so bad that Cory has dubbed this emotion hanger (hunger + Colleen = anger = hanger). I morph into a hungry hippo, naturally.
That said, I’m a pretty busy bee. I work as an office admin at small counseling center one day a week, I work as a graduate assistant in the Office of Housing and Residence Life at school three days a week, and I have classes at night. I usually leave my apartment around 7:30 AM and don’t return until somewhere between 8:00 – 10:00 PM. I’m really big on eating healthy and being aware of what I’m putting in my body, so I treat going out for lunch or dinner as something special (plus, I’m a grad student – I can’t afford the luxury of eating out!). Therefore, my life revolves around my lunchbox 🙂
I’m a slave to habit, so there are always Lunchbox Staples
- Apple Pie Larabars
- Two pieces of fruit
- Dry Cereal (I also consider myself to be a cereal connoisseur. More on that later.)
- I am also PB&J’s Number One Fan, but I’m trying to
grow upbranch out a little bit.
So there, friends. Now you know. I’m the 23 year old who still religiously carries a lunchbox to work/school every day. Sorry I’m not sorry 🙂
